About My Clients

I work best with clients who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted by intrusive thoughts, compulsions, or anxiety they can’t seem to turn off. You might be dealing with OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors like skin picking or hair pulling, or just feeling constantly on edge. Maybe you’ve tried to figure it out on your own or even worked with other therapists, but haven’t found the right fit or approach. You don’t need to feel “ready”—just curious about what healing might look like.

My Background and Approach

Living with an anxiety disorder—or facing anxiety on a daily basis—can feel overwhelming and isolating. But with the right support and treatment, it is possible to find relief and build a more grounded, fulfilling life. I use a compassionate, evidence-based approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). CBT is a structured, goal-oriented treatment and is considered the gold standard for OCD and related disorders. My work is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll focus on building practical tools, shifting how you relate to your thoughts and emotions, and creating more psychological flexibility so that anxiety no longer runs the show. I also supervise an associate therapist on my team who shares this integrative, client-centered approach and is trained in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I bring warmth, compassion, and authenticity to my practice. I believe that the therapeutic alliance you have with your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of successful treatment. In addition, I believe the most important ingredients of the therapeutic relationship are building on empathy, trust, self-compassion and a non-judgmental stance. It takes a lot of courage and bravery to start therapy, and I believe that individuals who take the first step of beginning therapy have the willingness and capacity for change by learning the skills to manage their anxiety and live a more meaningful life.
