What makes us think, feel, and act the way we do? Through my research and practice, I learned that the way we see the world is influenced by a multitude of factors including our culture, race, upbringing, and sexual orientation - just to name a few. All of these variables came together in your life to play a part in how you feel, think, and act. In our work together, we will explore how your unique experiences may have contributed to the struggles and questions you have today.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults and adolescents using a combination of CBT and ACT, two forms of therapy that research has shown are very effective for creating lasting change. Many people I have worked with have found it helpful to examine the reasons behind their negative thoughts and emotions, and we will also explore the actions you can take to promote wellness and tranquility.
