About My Clients

Do you often feel on edge, even if there's no known trigger? Are you constantly anticipating worse case scenarios? Folks work with me to help navigate the challenges of anxiety, relationship stress, and traumatic experiences. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, I strive to create a safe space for folks to explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insight into patterns and behaviors, and develop strategies to help move through what's keeping them "stuck".

My Background and Approach

I offer a holistic, personalized approach to treatment, addressing the root causes of distress while providing clients the tools to navigate challenges. We will explore how early relational experiences impact your self-concept, worldview, and connections with others. I integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help folks process and integrate traumatic experiences. I am dedicated to cultivating an inclusive therapeutic space, bringing anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and social justice perspectives. With a trauma-informed framework, I honor your experiences with sensitivity and compassion. I embrace a strengths-based perspective, highlighting your resources and abilities to facilitate positive change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As an adoptee, I've always held curiosity about how relationships with caregivers in childhood influence us as adults. I quickly learned that exploring these formative years can reveal fascinating insights into patterns of behavior, attachment styles, and emotional well-being. Whether you are drawn to uncovering the roots of your own struggles or seeking to better support children in your life, exploring early experiences can be a transformative journey of self-discovery.
