About My Clients
Wherever you are in your healing, you don't have to do it alone. I believe therapy can be a chance to reconnect to ourselves and loved ones, breakthrough generational patterns by exploring their roots, learn new skills, and practice new ways of being. I specialize in supporting folks with identity exploration, navigating anxiety, stress, and perfectionism, processing trauma, navigating relationship challenges, practicing embodiment, and healing from experiences of sexual & domestic violence.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is decolonial and rooted in my values of liberation and love. I work using somatic and strength-based practices to reconnect you to your softness, strength, and trust in yourself. I offer individual as well as couples/relationship counseling and pull from my experience working with fellow survivors of violence, neurodiverse folks, and within the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I pull from a variety of modalities and techniques to best support the needs of each client. I am informed by and continue to learn from somatic principles, liberation psychology, Black, feminist, and Indigenous ideologies, internal family systems(IFS) frameworks, attachment theory, and emotionally focused therapy (EFT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person is deserving of safe and loving relationships, both with ourselves and those around us. I also believe that oppression and experiences of trauma systematically get in the way of that. My experiences have shaped my approach to therapy as systemic, relational, and integrative. This means I acknowledge and honor your context, lineage, and histories. Will utilize the relationship we build as a safe practice container and most importantly, that I don’t believe in or use a one-size-fits-all approach.
