About My Clients
Because of my life experiences, it is important that any client I meet with supports racial justice and queer liberation. I enjoy helping clients zoom out to see the long game, generations long even. Gentle self gratitude when clients reflect on their growth or the success of a therapeutic practice is my favorite. I work best with clients who are willing to be challenged by patterns that are reflected back in session. I consult with fellow therapists who help me to be held and challenged too!
My Background and Approach
My master's degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Insurance only available for MN residents with Health Partners, Hennepin Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I can provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance to request reimbursement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mexican baile folklorico, Black gospel music and disability justice has informed what I am able to envision as possible in collective healing. I seek to be accountable to those who have shared their practices and lives with me. I have learned from my people that above most else, deep laughter and tears help us to release and remember what's essential. I get excited by sharing psychosomatic, relational, and cultural theories and discovering with you how they may resonate or not. It gives me life to connect around finding moments of freedom, masking our differences, less and less.
