About My Clients
My clients are smart, ambitious women and nonbinary professionals who want to make a change in their lives. They may be going through a personal or career transition, struggling with anxiety or chronic stress, or navigating complicated relationships at work or in their personal lives. Many are women of color, 1st and 2nd generation immigrants, and/or part of the LGBTQ+ community; they often work as STEM or business professionals. Therapy newbies are especially welcome!
My Background and Approach
As a psychologist, my goal is to offer you not only insight and support, but practical tools you can use to feel better start making changes right away. I draw on a variety of techniques to do that - including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and more - based on my clients' needs and preferences. I'm also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, meaning that I'm trained in Brené Brown's work on shame resilience, vulnerability, and building a practice of courage and wholeheartedness in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm the founder of Stella Nova Psychology, Inc. - a downtown SF clinic that's the love child of my professional expertise as a psychologist, and my personal passion for inclusive spaces where women support and uplift other women. We're an enthusiastically, intersectionally feminist space that believes mental health is essential to our ability to succeed and thrive in our personal and professional lives. We believe in evidence based practice, giving back to our communities, and supporting our therapists' mental health so that they can support you. We also believe that representation matters in mental health care, so we're committed to hiring, training & promoting women of color and LGBTQ+ staff.
