About My Clients
I believe therapy is a space to explore long-held beliefs, make meaning, process emotions, and re-author stories. I work with adults healing from their upbringing, grieving, in major life transition, feeling existential anxiety, and those holding the weight of systemic injustices. I am passionate about providing affirming, therapeutic space for LGBTQ+ adults, in ENM relationships, and folks with ADHD, AuDHD, & ASD. I deeply enjoy working with creative folks & welcome creativity in session!
My Background and Approach
With psychodynamic psychotherapy, we will look at how patterns (both known and unconscious) came to be. Gaining insight and understanding into these dynamics creates space for processing, growth, new possibilities, and healing. We may also utilize narrative therapy and expressive arts, as creativity can be an additional method of authentic exploration. I offer therapy where your pain is met with nonjudgmental support, patience, and centering regulation before jumping in. We can then compassionately find the root of the stories you wish to re-author. Whether we’re working through words, metaphor, images, or mindfulness - we can hold the paradox of care and courage.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a background as a meditation and movement instructor and served as a board member for an arts non-profit. I have sponsored individuals in long-term recovery through step-work. Outside of work I spend time writing songs, dancing with friends, practicing yoga, wandering through the woods, and experimenting with effects pedals.
