Hi! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile and to consider working with me. It is an honor and joy to work collaboratively.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
I have given workshops and lectures about stress to various professionals (e.g., educators, healthcare workers).
I have over 10 years of experience helping clients address hurdles and obstacles relating to personal growth in the treatment process; as well as first-hand lived experience on the subject while earning my doctorate in depth psychology.
I wrote my doctoral dissertation on why therapists choose to work with adolescents. I have spent over a decade of my career working within the schools, and 9 years working with teens in schools; and with Special Education specifically. My desire to become a therapist stems from having experienced issues relating to bullying during my teen years, and this inspires me to help others each and every day.
Some stress can be healthy and help us to complete tasks at hand; but too much stress can wreak havoc on our self-care systems. As women, we are often taught by society and within our own families that we need to "do it all", wear many hats, and be super successful in everything we undertake, whether that be parenthood, career, or socially - and this can be an unhealthy trap. I help clients work to better recognize and ultimately work with the stress in their lives that may lead to burnout.
Having had exposure to a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., psychodynamic, humanistic, depth, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT [TF-CBT], strength based enables me to work with my clients to tailor the approach that is most beneficial for them.
