About My Clients

I help children and teens voice what feels stuck and difficult to express, while supporting parents so they feel empowered to help their child. I am especially drawn to supporting male-identifying children, teens, and fathers, including trans youth and trans-masculine parents. Additionally, I work with adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s—particularly those in creative fields—to help them navigate transitions and difficulties during those phases of life.

My Background and Approach

I come to this field with a background in both childhood education and the performing arts. I have over 20 years of experience as an educator, holding a degree in early childhood education. This background allows me to hold space for children and teens through their full range of thoughts and feelings, including neurodivergent experiencing of the world. I also draw from my own parenting journey when helping parents navigate the joys and heartaches of raising children. Grounded in my background as a music publicist, performer, and business owner, I help adults w/ issues around childhood trauma, relationships, and creative identity. As a male-identifying therapist, I understand the cultural expectations that can feel difficult to navigate as men and boys try to balance being many things simultaneously: student or professional, father, son, friend, and romantic partner. I help these clients explore both the present and the past to understand who they are and where they would like to be.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have found therapy to be incredibly helpful in my own life. The road can be long with periods of uncertainty, but I think this is why I come to the field with a belief in the process. I often think of therapy as similar to the yoga teacher adjusting your posture in a such a small way that unexpectedly led to a heart opening you didn't know you had been waiting for. Ultimately, I believe that turning towards oneself in a safe and accepting environment can lead to greater feelings of belonging, connection, purpose, and joy at any age.
