About My Clients
The dominant culture tells us that speeding up and maximizing convenience will lead to happiness, yet many of us feel more isolated, confused, ashamed and less alive to possibility than ever. The right collaborative relationship with a therapist can offer a path away from fleeting illusions and toward the cultivation of true fulfillment and joy. If you are feeling helpless, stuck, anxious or depressed, I provide a caring and creative space in which to reconnect to your curiosity.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in existential and depth psychologies and training in expressive arts therapy and the Internal Family Systems model, all of which promote access to curiosity and creativity to contend with life’s inevitable challenges in more meaningful, authentic and constructive ways. Dreamwork & the imagination are explored to call in the wisdom of the unconscious. These processes lead to relief from old wounds, they can be challenging, and they can also be fun. My experience includes work with individuals/couples/teens in non-profit and private practice and years working in the arts, making me well suited to support creative individuals. Issues I help people work through include anxiety, depression, grief, intrusive thoughts, loss of vitality, addiction, codependence, and "stuckness" in dysfunction
