My Background and Approach
Maureen Owoh is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) specializing in psychiatry and is registered with the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Maureen started her career as a residential house counselor in 2011 working with individuals with mental retardation, disruptive mood disorders, and autism. Her passion for caring for the mentally challenged propelled her to further her education as a provider. Maureen has extensive experience working in hospital, and outpatient care settings caring for children and adults across the lifespan. Maureen received her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2013, then her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016 focused on Nursing leadership and management. In 2022, she received her post-graduate certificate in psychiatric Mental Health nurse practitioner at Walden University. I utilized evidence based treatment approaches to provide the best possible outcome.
