About My Clients
You're in the right place if you're going through a big change and you've experienced trauma/loss earlier in life. You've already tried DIY and talk therapy, but somehow it's not better. Your body can feel stuck in the same sensations. You can't stop thinking about the past. You can feel like the world is too much. Even though you feel alone and afraid, you don't want anyone to know. All of this makes it hard to find help that actually works.
My Background and Approach
For the past 20 years, I do therapy differently. Trauma therapy requires a highly specialized skill set, especially how to work with the body and attachment from your earliest relationships. I use Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (certification in progress), EMDR (certified since 2008), Internal Family Systems, and a host of other tools. I combine this with alternative healing that's effective for sensitive people (Highly Sensitive, Empaths, Introverts), such as Reiki energy work (Master/teacher certification since 2014), Tarot/Oracle, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and flower essences I'd love to support you, as well as my small group of expert clinicians.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm humbled and honored by our innate capacity to heal and grow. It's an amazing time to be on the planet, and I feel strongly that I'm supposed to be here right now. There's much to do in myself and in community with others to learn how to take care of ourselves, each other, the Planet, and value our differences. I'm committed personally and professionally to the work of dismantling racism and white supremacy, while making social justice a guiding value. I believe that love is an important ingredient in healing work and is present in everything I do. I'm a self-taught artist and potter. You can find me outside much of the time. Music heals me, and I love dancing to live music. Water also heals me. I'm highly sensitive and an empath, as are all of my clients.
