About My Clients
I work well with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, challenges in life transitions, struggles with boundaries and interpersonal relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed mental health counselor and received my Masters in Counseling in 2020, and have been working as an individual counselor since. The work I do is client-centered and informed by systems theories, meaning that I believe that how we feel is tied to patterns in our relationships and life-experiences. I believe helping others become more comfortable and familiar with their genuine sense of self can help them walk towards change and a more meaningful experience. Counseling can be a space to connect, collaborate, and find ways to break patterns that you have found yourself stuck in. I utilize a variety of approaches based on your needs; I have received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the way we feel is inextricably linked to our environment and relationships with ourselves and others. I strive to create deeper understanding every day of the impact that our culture has on all of us, and feel that our mental health cannot be separated from the context of our world. Through this we can then seek to find our own path to healing. I strive to do my best in operating from a social justice informed lens, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
