About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck due to past trauma? Have you been feeling alone in your grief? Are you worried that your relationships are suffering due to your mental health? I'm here to help you through this. I provide a calm and compassionate presence as I support you through processing painful emotional experiences and moving toward positive change. I work with clients who are introspective, looking for depth in therapy, and who may benefit from somatic tools.
My Background and Approach
My approach is psychodynamic and somatic, integrating insight, emotional processing, and mind-body connection in therapy. I am trained in Brainspotting and Hakomi mindful somatic psychotherapy, highly effective trauma and body oriented modalities. I also studied Jungian/depth psychology, which lays the groundwork for shadow work and the process of individuation as key tasks for long-lasting change. I guide clients toward living with more mindfulness in their daily lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Often the mental health issues that bring someone into therapy are not present solely from individual circumstances, but due to the impact of societal issues on an individual. I provide psychological care that is aligned with supporting racial justice and addressing the impact of systemic oppression on psychological wellbeing. I am an LGBTQIA affirmative therapist.
