Accepting Clients

Hi! I believe true therapy can occur once trust and comfort are achieved. The best way is often by being real, relaxed, and nonjudgemental.

About My Clients

What I find is that many clients report that after the session there’s a feeling of relief that now a burden has been lifted. I am not here to tell anyone what to do. Rather, I am here to help you find your way back towards the path that is right for you. Relief, comfort, clarity and confidence are common basic goals

My Background and Approach

I graduated with my BA in criminal justice from Seton Hall University in 2002. After entering the workforce I discovered my passion of genuinely caring and helping others simply by listening. I returned to school for my MA in counseling, graduating in 2009. Starting in 07 I began working in this field with the severely mentally ill in the community. Not long after, I began practicing clinical work, where I am today. I believe that the most productive therapy occurs once a certain level of trust and comfort is achieved. I am here to help you make the decisions to change your life. I keep each session as comfortable and casual as possible. Soon, what feels like a regular conversation will, in fact, be therapeutic. I have been working in this field for over 15 years. There’s little I haven’t heard or seen. I’m comfortable with self disclosure, when appropriate. You are not alone!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’ve come to realize that the real true, basic purpose in life is to achieve balance. To be balanced there must be acceptance. How else would there be growth? We must be mindful to recognize these moments when we’re off balance. On another note, I’d like to humbly say I believe I have the ability to relate to most of my clients in one way or another. I haven’t been through everything, of course, but it seems like finding something in common has never been an issue.
