About My Clients
"I work with 'non-traditional' questioners. Whether in a binary relationship, open marriage, or triad, I provide a judgment-free space for LGBTQ+ and niche identities. I help men tired of performative masculinity and couples needing more than 45 mins for intimacy. Individual therapy is $100 (insurance accepted). Relationship therapy is private-pay ONLY , at $185 for 90-minute intensive sessions, to focus on the partnership, not just a medical diagnosis.
My Background and Approach
My professional journey is a bit unique. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years in the healthcare industry (in the military, as a veteran, and as a civilian), working with a vast spectrum of populations in medical environments. This breadth of experience allows me to connect with people from all walks of life and understand the complex intersection of physical and psychological health. I hold an MS in Professional Counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and am currently pursuing certification as a Sex Therapist. My approach is multi-modal and evidence-based, primarily incorporating Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" model; instead, I adjust my methods to meet your specific needs, ensuring you receive guidance that is as unique as your own story.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space of radical acceptance, free from the pressure of societal performance. As a sex-positive, kink-friendly, and polyamory-affirming provider, I strive to create an environment where my clients don't have to self-censor or explain the basics of their identity or relationship structure. I am a secular therapist who values social justice and equity, with a specific focus on helping men navigate and dismantle the shame often associated with traditional masculine stereotypes. Additionally, I am deeply committed to veteran and service member advocacy. I utilize my healthcare background to support those navigating the unique traumas and transitions inherent in military service. My goal is to help you navigate the "uncomfortable things" and carve a path toward healing and connection on your own terms.
