About My Clients
I support people who are facing end of life issues, navigating life after loss, or rebuilding identity after leaving a high-control group, religious organization, or relationship. Profound change follows loss of a loved one or stepping away from an intensely controlling environment. If you're grieving the loss of familiar community, navigating who you are in a world that feels entirely new, and are seeking secular LGBTQ+ affirming support, I look forward to connecting with you.
My Background and Approach
My background and clinical experience include supporting people and their loved ones through end-of-life care and hospice. I also provide inclusive secular support for people navigating religious trauma, coercive control, and involvement in high-control groups and relationships. Both areas of focus involve processing grief, shifting identity, and rebuilding an individually meaningful life. Support is available beyond just religious contexts. While this support is secular, it is not anti-spirituality. There is room for you to create the space you need to explore your own path to meaning, which may include faith, or none at all. If you've felt isolated in this experience, you don't have to go it alone! Both professional training and lived experience are brought to my work with clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I deeply believe that every person deserves the dignity of finding their own path in life. I welcome individuals from all belief systems and identities that are seeking support. Your intersectional identity, lived experience, and personal boundaries are welcomed and celebrated in my practice. My dedication to supporting people navigating religious trauma, and end-of-life issues comes from lived experience and witnessing the courage of individuals as they find their footing and rebuild a life that is meaningful.
