About My Clients

I work with men, women, and adolescents suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, self harm, lack of meaning, unsatisfying relationships, and the many other genuine difficulties found in the wake of trauma. My clients are courageous survivors who are healing from the impact of everyday, acute, complex, spiritual, and/or secondary/vicarious traumatic stress.

My Background and Approach

I studied counseling psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology where I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on interpersonal psychodynamic psychotherapy and trauma recovery. I am a trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR). In addition to my work as a clinician, I work with First Aid Arts (www.firstaidarts.org) as a Responder and Group Facilitator Trainer, facilitating domestic and international trainings to empower lay counselors with arts based tools to provide psycho social support to refugees, human trafficking survivors, and those impacted by natural disasters.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in creating access to systems of care for people impacted by traumatic stress. In my former role as EVP for First Aid Arts I worked to democratize the therapeutic process by equipping lay counselors all over the world to provide arts based psychological first aid to peers.
