About My Clients
Others have written your story for far too long. You're "too much," "too sensitive," "don't belong." Maybe it's ADHD; maybe you just feel everything too strongly. You go to bed feeling alone, even with someone there. I know that feeling. It's like Luke Skywalker on Tattoine, knowing there's more than moisture vaporators. I don't want you to feel alone - I want you to write your own story and take charge of the divine narrative and purpose that is your life.
My Background and Approach
I use a narrative approach to help you author your own story. Based on the hero's journey format, we take a look at what your quest is in this moment, look at your obstacles, and look at the strengths that you have. Together we will work out a way to help you find yourself and own your story. I use geeky references from sci-fi, fantasy, and even tabletop role-playing games to help bring a depth and connection to our therapy. I use a holistic approach where we make sure you're taking care of yourself mind, body, and spirit - growing in all the areas you need.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my teen years, I found Jesus through Christianity. Over time, I accumulated enough wounds from the church (related to my neurodivergence and personality type not fitting in with them) that I left the confines of religion and opened up to a greater spirituality. As it pertains to practice, this gives me a unique view of being able to understand the stress from within the system and work from outside of it for those in a deconstruction or reconstruction phase. I will never seek to push one way or the other, but I will do what I always wanted someone to do for me - to be present and accept me just as I am.
