Do you want to improve your mental health and minimize the use of medications? Many research studies have shown the effectiveness of regular exercise in decreasing depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric symptoms. Dr. Lynx can help you in your mental health and fitness journey, whether you are just beginning or have already started but need more guidance. Sessions will focus on your fitness journey, psychotherapy, and medication management, if needed.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Lynx is a psychiatrist with extensive experience in utilizing evidenced based treatments to help people manage a wide variety of mental health conditions, utilizing both medications and psychotherapy. He also is an avid cyclist and runner and has seen firsthand the value of regular exercise in improving and managing stress, anxiety, and depression. He completed a program jointly through the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Medicine, allowing him to obtain both a M.D. and a Ph.D. He then moved to Dallas and attended the University of Texas Southwestern for his residency training in psychiatry. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
