Showing your true colors can feel vulnerable, so it is my intention to hold space in which you can feel safe to be yourself without judgement. My practice is defined by a genuine desire to help you feel comfortable in your own skin. Therapy can act as an anchor, providing the stability and support to explore your identity safely. I will be there every step of the way to support you in forging new paths and helping you discover and build the life you have always imagined.
My Background and Approach
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling also from NIU. I hold additional certifications in Trauma Informed Counseling and LGBTQIA+ Studies. I practice a gender affirmative trauma informed approach to counseling by offering a safe space for you to explore your gender, sexuality, and expression. I can help you along the path of your transition by providing letters of support for hormone therapy and gender affirmation surgery. I follow the WPATH Standards of Care in my practice. I am here to help with whatever has you stuck; whether or not it is related to gender and sexuality. I know you might feel lost or hopeless. I am here to help you take back your life and make it what you have always dreamed of.
