About My Clients
I'm a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained to work with clients through medication management, psychoeducation, & supportive therapy. In my career I have worked as a mental health researcher, charge nurse at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, & nurse practitioner at outpatient mental healthcare clinics. I emphasize education about diagnoses, symptoms, & treatment options so that clients feel empowered to make healthcare choices that are in line with their priorities.
My Background and Approach
I completed a Bachelor's of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I went on to complete a second Bachelor's and subsequent Master's Degree in Nursing at California State University, Los Angeles. In my career I have worked as a mental health researcher, charge nurse at an inpatient psychaitric hospital, and nurse practitioner at outpatient mental healthcare clinics. I specialize in treating mood, anxiety, cognitive, psychotic and trauma-related disorders. I encourage a collaborative approach, partnering with clients to create individualized treatment plans to address their specific mental health goals.
