I help people foster healthy relationships with themselves and the people around them, so we all get the belonging and connection we need.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Denver, CO
I am committed to the ongoing healing and empowerment of the LGBTQ communities, each with their own attributes and traumas. As a gay cis white male, I'm committed to using my privilege to help others heal and grow. As a sex therapist, I train to offer therapy tailored to the LGBTQ community through an anti-oppression, empowerment lens. I'm particularly interested in helping clients to embrace one's identity, address bi-erasure, and dismantle racism in LGBTQ spaces.
I believe humans have a base, fundamental need for connection, belonging and safety. The systems we grow up in teach us otherwise, and give us beliefs that defy those needs. We end up viciously pursuing independence at the expense of real connection. I help clients dismantle those practices and embrace new ones that foster the secure, fulfilling relationships we all hunger for in loneliness.
Every person deserves and meaningful, fulfilling sexual experience that brings them to life, gives them a sense of vitality and connection. We all find different paths to these enriching experiences. I work to empower people to find the ways they prefer and to get the most out of them. Much of this work involves overcoming shame and defeating oppression (internal and external) and bolstering empowerment.
