About My Clients
Maybe anxiety has impacted your sleep, relationships, or overall ability to live a life that feels meaningful to you. Perhaps sadness or overthinking has become a constant battle getting in the way of reaching your goals. Are you stuck with an impossible decision or simply looking for ways to be more motivated? Have you struggling to connect with your partner more than ever? Whatever unique challenge you are facing, I am eager to face it with you at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
My Background and Approach
I have helped individuals work through terrifying anxiety and panic to overwhelming darkness and depression. I have experience with building connection in relationships as well as counseling amicable separations. Some of the most meaningful work to me has been untangling deep trauma, helping my clients find freedom from their worst pain. When it comes to difficult emotions, trauma, relationships, and life goals - my approach is flexible but grounded in Mindfulness based ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) with respect to Existential Psychotherapy (making meaning in our lives).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my lived experience working through tragedy and the trauma, grief, and anxiety that comes with it. I've walked through the darkness and fire and discovered what it really takes to come through to the other side. Your pain might be your biggest enemy now, but with the right approach, we can not only untangle it, but let you grow from it and thrive in a way that might not even seem possible right now. It has become my life goal to use my experience, education, and personal insight to meet you right where you are, with the safety and comfort you deserve in a therapist. I believe all personal challenges boil down into one of two types; those which you can change, and those that you cannot. My goal is to explore what in your life you have real agency over and how we can meaningfully work towards that change, and how to make peace with the most difficult circumstances in which we have no power to change.
