About My Clients
Everything we do is a performance. Our jobs, hobbies and even our relationships require skills that need to be practiced in order for them to flourish. During our daily interactions we may find ourselves struggling with distractions, anxiety, dissatisfaction or ruminating on the past. Through my experience, I have gained the ability to support people in their journeys to become more present in everything they do and have the resilience to accomplish all of their goals.
My Background and Approach
Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness I can assist you to become aware of the connection between your mind and body so that you can think more effectively while under the hardships of your daily endeavors. Through my experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds in eating disorder, professional sport, and amateur athletic environments, I am able to give you a set of mental skills that will allow you to regulate your emotions and focus purely on what you want to accomplish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every human thinks, feels, and behaves differently and that is what makes us so special. Our diversity creates a beautiful world that allows us to learn and see things from many perspectives. However, this also creates a sense that we may not belong or that no one understands what we are going through. My approach to working with clients is a Person-Centered approach where I get to know you as a person and understand what you are going through while also understanding that you know yourself best. Working with a racially and ethnically diverse population, as well as being Latinx myself, has given me the ability to understand different cultural perspectives and find the best way for you to work through your struggles.
