About My Clients
My clients often carry anxiety, trauma, racial stress, or painful experiences with faith communities. Many are seeking healing from disconnection — from themselves, others, or institutions that let them down. They value therapy that is culturally aware, spiritually sensitive, and grounded in respect for who they are.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed professional counselor with experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and burnout. Many of my clients are caregivers, professionals, or faith leaders who have given much to others and now feel depleted. Others come with wounds from religious communities or a sense of disconnection from meaning and belonging. My approach combines evidence-based practices like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) with a culturally aware, spiritually sensitive lens. Informed by systems theory and my own vocational discernment in the Episcopal Church, I strive to hold both the personal and broader contexts of my clients’ lives. I see therapy as a place of dignity, curiosity, and renewal — where distress is eased, resilience strengthened, and new possibilities for connection and meaning can emerge.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person carries inherent dignity and the capacity to grow, even in times of pain or doubt. Healing begins when we are met with compassion and space to reconnect with what matters most. My grounding in the Episcopal tradition and a Franciscan sensibility shapes how I show up—with humility, care, and respect for the whole person. I welcome clients of any faith or none, and honor the wider context of their lives—family, culture, identity, and social realities. For me, therapy is not only about easing distress, but about restoring dignity, resilience, and a more meaningful sense of connection.
