You cancel plans. You rehearse conversations. You leave exhausted. That's not a character flaw; it's social anxiety, and it's treatable.

About My Clients

You've spent years wondering why social situations cost you so much. You overprepare, overanalyze, and still leave feeling like you got it wrong. My clients are adults and some teens, navigating social anxiety, often alongside late-identified autism or ADHD. Many have tried to think their way out of it. What they actually needed was a framework that accounts for how their nervous system works, not a personality overhaul.

My Background and Approach

I'm a licensed therapist specializing in social anxiety, shame, and belonging, particularly for adults who've spent a lifetime wondering why connection feels so costly. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with a shame- and trauma-informed, neuroaffirming lens. That means we're not trying to eliminate anxiety or "fix" you. We're working to understand what your nervous system learned, loosen its grip, and build a life that actually fits you. Many of my clients are late-identified autistic or ADHD adults. The social exhaustion they carry isn't weakness; it's the result of years of masking without a map. I hold a PsyD and am licensed in Texas as an LPC-S and LCDC, with specialized training in EMDR and ADHD.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a late-identified autistic and ADHD therapist who has lived with social anxiety and found that traditional therapy wasn't always a fit for me. I truly understand what it means to move through a world that wasn't designed for your nervous system. Much of what gets labeled anxiety or dysfunction is a reasonable response to chronic environmental misfit rather than personal failure. I've built my practice around current research and evidence-based intervention, along with a shame-informed lens that helps us find belonging within ourselves and build an external environment that matches that internal acceptance. I try to be the change I wish I'd had when I was seeking therapy. However many times that's been for you, I keep the full human experience in mind: with a shame- and trauma-informed, neuroaffirming approach rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. No need to hide in the shadows or shrink your needs to heal here. All of you is welcome.
