About My Clients
You are worth feeling better. If you are lost, hurting, confused, in pain, or just don't know what to do next - please contact me and see if we're a good match. I work with PTSD, childhood trauma, childhood emotional neglect (CEN), addiction, codependency, parenting difficult children, and "that thing where you know something is majorly wrong but you don't even know what to call it". Life is weird and it's time to talk about it.
My Background and Approach
You are looking for help, feeling miserable, and don't know what to do next. My role and expertise is to guide you to a place in your life that you cannot yet see. I help men and women who experienced childhood trauma, abandonment, or "they did the best they could" parents to become who they really are. My goal as a therapist is to provide down to earth, practical, and insightful solutions in a timely and comfortable manner. I am passionate and excited to hear from you to help you forge a path of success. The first several sessions are spent getting to know each other. What I call the "lay all the puzzle pieces out on the table and flip them right side up" approach. After that a picture starts forming that helps guide the rest of treatment. Putting the puzzle pieces together and forming a grand cohesive picture of your life is the goal. The 'therapeutic relationship' is extremely important and I take great care to ensure that we will have an authentic and trustworthy relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Approaching a therapist with your struggles is a stressful experience. I aim to provide a calm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere to help you explore, establish, and accomplish your goals. I enjoy working with all types of people and issues, and I have significant experience and training working with individual distress, trauma, parenting, couples problems, anxiety, depression, oppositional/defiant behaviors in children, and many others. Improving family relationships, raising children with difficult behaviors, and thriving through the grind of life is what makes me excited about being a therapist. I am personal and professional experience with healing painful childhood wounds. I have seen therapy change lives and bring healing that would not seem possible at first. Reaching out to a therapist is gut-wrenching, but I promise you will be glad you did it.
