About My Clients
I work best with kids, teens, and young adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or past experiences. Many of my clients are navigating big emotions, family changes, or struggles with self-esteem. I also support children from hard places and those with trauma histories, using creative and playful approaches to help them feel safe, build trust, and express themselves.
My Background and Approach
I’m a trained therapist and counseling intern pursuing licensure in South Dakota, with experience supporting children, teens, and families through life’s challenges. I specialize in play-based and trauma-informed therapy, helping young clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. I draw from Adlerian theory, attachment work, and creative approaches to meet kids right where they are, whether they’re feeling anxious, shut down, or just need someone to listen. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported, especially in their hardest moments. I’m passionate about creating a space where kids and teens can be themselves without judgment, and where families feel encouraged, not blamed. I’m a Christian and welcome conversations around faith when it’s important to the client, though I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. I care deeply about mental health access, trauma-informed care, and supporting kids from hard places. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a big fan of animals, being outdoors, and spending quality time with the people I care about.
