About My Clients
I work best with individuals who know how exhausting anxiety can be... living on edge, constantly scanning for what might go wrong. Many of my clients haven’t truly relaxed in a long time. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is helping people reach that first deep breath and begin to feel at ease again. Whether you’re facing daily stress or past trauma, you don’t have to carry it alone. I value working with clients who are open and curious about creating meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. Therapy is collaborative, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you while focusing on what matters most in your life. I incorporate a solution-focused perspective to help you recognize your strengths, build confidence, and give yourself credit for the progress you’re already making. I also use mindfulness-based techniques to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and build awareness of your thoughts and emotions. Together, we’ll practice gently moving between emotional activation and grounding so you can process experiences without feeling overwhelmed. As a trained EMDR therapist, I use EMDR to help process past experiences, reduce distress, and strengthen more adaptive, supportive beliefs that can help you feel more present, confident, and like your best self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone’s story matters, and at some level, we all want to be understood. Before we can fully be understood by others, though, we often need to better understand ourselves. I see this process of self-exploration as a lifelong journey that gives life meaning and depth. It’s a privilege to learn from the people I work with and to grow through those connections. I value the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience in a way that supports others in their own growth and healing. "When you help someone, you help everyone."
