About My Clients
I work best with teens, young adults, and anyone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or going through big changes. I’m especially passionate about supporting athletes, performers, and people in high-pressure roles—those navigating stress, burnout, injury, identity shifts, depression, or career transitions. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, build confidence, and start moving forward, I’d be honored to support you every step of the way.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is person-centered and integrative; I believe you’re the expert on your own experience, and I’m here to support you on your path. I use evidence-based tools like CBT, MI, and strengths-based strategies, pulling in what fits best for you. I also believe in showing up authentically and creating a space that’s supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental—where you can be fully yourself. I earned my undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Kentucky. I grew up in sports and was a Division I athlete, which gave me firsthand insight into the pressure, identity shifts, burnout, and transitions that come with high-performance roles. I’m especially passionate about working with athletes and performers, and I’ve assisted on several research projects focused on athlete mental health. Whether you are competing, transitioning, or figuring out what’s next—I’m here to support you every step.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m passionate about integrating mental health and athletics—both in my clinical work and in the community. As a former “Step Up Athlete” with Coaches Across Continents, I helped revamp their mental health curriculum, creating purposeful play games to teach kids about emotional well-being through sport. I believe sports can be a powerful tool for connection, education, and healing. I’m currently training a therapy dog and love exploring creative ways to bring warmth and support into the therapy space. I’m also an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and deeply committed to reducing the stigma around mental health—especially in athletic and high-performance spaces where vulnerability is often overlooked. My values center around authenticity, compassion, and helping people feel safe, seen, and empowered—exactly as they are.
