My Background and Approach
You're holding so much. You’ve done the deep breathing, the self-help books, the pretending everything is okay, and still, the stress, anxiety, or emotional weight lingers. Whether it's navigating the impact of trauma, living with ADHD or chronic pain, setting boundaries with family, or just trying to feel safe in your own body and mind — you don’t have to carry it alone. Whether you’re dealing with burnout, emotional dysregulation, relationship stress, or executive dysfunction, you deserve a space that honors your whole self, not just your symptoms. I’m a dual-licensed mental health and substance use therapist serving clients virtually. My approach blends talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic tools, and trauma-informed practices. I tailor every session to meet your unique needs; whether that means slowing down to regulate your nervous system or exploring the root of emotional patterns that keep showing up in your life, I provide a compassionate, structured place to heal.
My Values as a Therapist
I value continually educating myself on new treatment approaches so I can serve diverse populations. I specialize working with with BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color), various religious, and LGBTQIA+ communities. As a black woman, it is important that the therapy environment I create is rooted in social justice, liberation, inclusivity, and openness. I am a dual licensed mental health and substance use therapist. I use a mix of talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic tools, and trauma-informed practices tailored to your needs. Sessions are focused on helping you reconnect with your values, regulate emotions, and develop useful tools. You'll experience a supportive, affirming space where your identity is honored, your goals are centered, and healing happens at your own pace. I believe the counseling office is a sacred space where people can share their innermost thoughts. Multicultural competency and cultural sensitivity is at the forefront of all I do.
