About My Clients
I welcome clients from diverse spiritual and cultural backgrounds and love working with LGBTQ+ individuals, artists and creatives, young adults, and anyone navigating complex trauma, religious trauma, dissociation, or questions of purpose and belonging.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a mixture of creative arts approaches under the lens of Drama Therapy. "Drama Therapy" is an approach similar to art or music therapy that utilizes body, voice, and story as tools to help you explore your inner world. You don’t need to be an actor, extraverted, or identify as artistic to benefit - just willing to try something new! Integrated with humanistic and existential frameworks like Internal Family Systems and Gestalt therapies, our work will welcome all parts of you. Together, we’ll explore the stories and roles that shape your life and discover new ways to live your truth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My fundamental belief is that people make sense – that every part of us, even those shaped by pain, can be understood through compassion and curiosity. I believe that the Mental Health Industrial Complex often does more harm than good and is intertwined with many oppressive systems. Though logistically I must work within many of these systems, I try my best to bring a libratory and anti-pathologizing lens to all that I do, and am passionate about changing the system to one that promotes true healing. I am pro-abolition and anti-incarceration. In my previous internship, I supported unhoused and incarcerated individuals with therapeutic art-making, and am passionate about increasing accessibility of quality therapeutic services to marginalized communities such as these. I am a member of the LGBTQ community and care deeply for my fellow queer people. I am interested in unpacking the harm that religious oppression has caused us and allowing space for reclamation of queer spirituality.
