About My Clients

Are you ready for change? Life is stressful right now, whether you are a kid, teen, parent, or college student. Sometimes it feels like we are one step away from failing ourselves, our friends, or our families. That no one is really listening or nothing will ever fix our current situation.  Mary Willoughby enjoys working with all clients who are ready to begin their therapeutic journey.

My Background and Approach

I’m a licensed therapist in Virginia specializing in helping moms, families, and individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, and parenting challenges. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to provide tailored, evidence-based support. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth — I create a safe space where clients can explore their emotions, process past experiences, and develop practical strategies for coping. I work with clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years, as well as anyone managing life transitions, stress, or trauma. Sessions are available online across Virginia, offering flexibility for busy schedules. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to build stronger relationships with yourself and your family.
