Parents and children alike can feel stuck and overwhelmed with their struggles. I am passionate about helping families heal, find solutions, and live well together. My focus is providing developmentally appropriate services to children (any age!), teens, and their families.
My Background and Approach
In the same way adults communicate through talking, children communicate through play. Play therapy helps children express feelings in developmentally-appropriate ways, increase self-efficacy, develop coping skills, and follow limits. I additionally utilize techniques from sand tray, art therapy, game therapy, DBT, and bibliotherapy for older kids and teens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Often when parents reach out to me, they feel tired, overwhelmed, and defeated--for good reason! Additionally, searching for a therapist for your child can be a daunting task. Your peace of mind is a top priority for me. My mission is to help kids and families learn to work well together and find deeper healing in a fun, safe, and judgment-free environment.
