About My Clients
If you're reading this, you're probably wondering if therapy can help you to feel better or improve your quality of life. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can help you manage stress, regain your ability to find fulfillment in daily life, and strengthen your sense of self. I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring sessions to suit the needs of my clients. I value humor, kindness, and warmth in creating an accepting and nonjudgmental environment for each client.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College and an M.A. in Human Development from the University of California, Berkeley. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and I especially enjoy working with clients to explore issues related to family and identity development. Though I integrate different approaches in my work with clients, my primary orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This approach encourages an open, curious, and nonjudgmental view of our emotional experiences, thereby allowing us to relearn patterns of avoidance and suppression.
