About My Clients
You are successful in many areas of your life, but you struggle to live the life you envision for yourself. You have tried to address these roadblocks alone, or have avoided them all together. Sometimes you are unsure of how you are experiencing emotions, and you often tell others that you are "fine" when it isn't be true. -Issues: Dating, Relationships, Desire Discrepancy, Heartbreak, Affair Recovery, Divorce, Self Esteem, Communication, Anxiety, Stress, Emotion Regulation.
My Background and Approach
My therapy process includes assessment, collaboration on goal setting, building awareness around thoughts, feelings (emotions & nervous system), exploring behaviors and cultural messages, building new patterns of experience, re-writing old narratives, improving communication, and practicing living with more resilience, ease, and joy. This integrated approach helps clients who desire change face their problems, and relieve discomfort. Much of the work is present and future oriented, with less reflection on your past. The work requires small steps and may feel uncomfortable at times. We will co-create simple homework for you to focus on between sessions, and I'll offer readings, videos and other resources when appropriate. I will guide you to stay accountable and compassionate towards yourself as you work towards growth, find more balance, and practice the art of being human. I aim to foster an inclusive, safe environment, and welcome diversity.
