About My Clients
People struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, loss, life changes, parenting issues, & trauma seek my help. I am seeing more estrangement between parents & adult children. Couples working toward improving communication, those dealing with infidelity, & those seeking a divorce are among my clients. Children & teens also struggle with challenges in relationships and self-esteem. I have a separate area of my office where children can express their feelings & work toward healing.
My Background and Approach
With 30 of experience, I can offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending on your needs and goals. We can heal from emotional wounds, or find ways to cope with them. With a PhD in Educational Psychology with a focus on human growth and development, I understand struggles at different stages of life, from childhood through senior years. I especially appreciate EMDR for trauma. I have seen clients improve rapidly from with a few sessions. Each individual is unique, of course. I offer nonjudgmental compassion along with professional approaches, including CBT, DBT, and supportive therapy. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns, or relationship issues, I am here to help. Call or text for an appointment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I honor the value of each person. I welcome & respect clients from all walks of life. Every person's journey is unique, and I honor that truth in my practice. Through years of experience, I've learned that real understanding comes from listening without judgment to your story and struggles. You can expect a safe space to be heard. I listen carefully to understand your challenges, goals and aspirations. Together, we'll create a clear path forward. You'll receive straightforward feedback designed to move you toward real change, along with practical tools and exercises to support your healing journey. I believe we are designed to heal. If you have a physical injury, such as a cut or broken bone, it is likely that you expect it to heal. Emotional wounds are more difficult, but there is a way forward toward healing. I also believe in caring for this earth and being kind to the creatures (except scorpions and fire ants, of course!).
