Experiencing abuse at any age can have prolonged disturbing consequences, including self-doubt. I have extensive experience helping people recover after abuse. EMDR is frequently very helpful in moving toward recovery. I am certified in EMDR, which can be very helpful in reducing the trauma symptoms in a short period of time. I also utilize DBT which helps set personal boundaries, ACT which helps cope with anxiety and distress, CBT & other therapies to help you move toward healing.

I am certified through EMDRIA approved training to treat with EMDR. I also have advanced training in EMDR and have seen many people benefit over the last 16 years since my training.

I am trained in the Gorman Method for couples counseling, as well a looking at how families interact and blend their values and behaviors. Relationships can be challenging as each person brings needs and assumptions into the relationship. Communication and behavior play a significant role in relationships.

I am trained in DBT and CBT. I find DBT useful in developing emotion regulation, self-soothing skills, and interpersonal relationships.
