About My Clients
Do you struggle with burnout at your job, even though it's something you love? Are you having trouble balancing what you want with what others ask of you? Are you the person that everyone else comes to for help, but you don’t quite know how to help yourself? Or, are you facing a difficult life change, and you're not sure how to manage it while facing other responsibilities? My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy comes from a psychodynamic perspective. That means I want to learn about your values, your upbringing, and your beliefs about yourself, in order to identify and change patterns that are disrupting your life. Our sessions may include mindfulness, breath work, or other exercises that focus on the mind-body connection, to whatever extent you feel comfortable. You may also work with Dr. Arvidson to see if medications may augment your experience in therapy. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan that allows you to move towards the things you want, rather than running away from the things you fear.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, my training and education actively promotes the affirmation and support of those holding marginalized identities. In my life and in my professional work, I strive to be anti-racist as well as affirming of all gender identities and expressions.
