About My Clients
I work with men and women who are battling the disease of addiction. My client make-up is diverse in terms of race, religious backgrounds and sexual orientation.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor( LPC) of Georgia, who has been in private practice since 1995. In addition, I taught as an Assistant Professor for a Community Mental Health Counselor graduate training program for 12 years and I have been a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor(CPCS) in Georgia since 2013. In 2018 I joined The Summit Wellness Group, an outpatient addiction treatment center in Roswell, GA, as their Evening Program Coordinator. My approach to working with clients is best described as integrative. I am well-versed in a variety of theoretical models including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and person-centered/existential models of change. This allows me to assess and treat the person as a whole, addressing the root causes of addiction versus just specific symptoms.
