About My Clients

I work with clients who may be experiencing intense feelings and uncomfortable sensations due to past traumas or present challenges in their personal life or in their relationships. My work with clients is based on a three phase model where we focus on exploring the challenges you are facing & building coping skills, processing past traumas or attachment woundings, and then integrating the awareness and healing into all areas of your life-relationships, professional and spiritual etc.

My Background and Approach

I use an integrative approach, what this means is that I use a variety of modalities - depending on what works for you. I work from a multicultural perspective, bringing in parts of your different identities to our session and building from the strengths you already have. Often times I use mindfulness, holistic and expressive arts techniques to help process along with talk therapy. In my experience- connecting our knowledge and mind to our body and soul is often where healing really happens. I also use trauma informed techniques such as EMDR, Parts work and compassion-based techniques. My approach is individualized based on the client I am working with. You are in charge here, and we will go at your pace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we all have the need to belong, be loved and feel safe. Due to our past and present experiences sometimes we adapt protective behaviors that may make these needs harder to fulfill (e.g. distrust of others, hypervigilance). I believe that many of us are hurting and suffering feeling disconnected and isolated from our internal self, people around us and our environment; and that true healing encompasses our mind, soul, body and community. My goal is to walk with you to connect with those parts of yourself where you hold your resilience, creativity, compassion and to help you integrate this personal healing to your relationships and others areas of your life. I also believe that in order to do the therapeutic work, we need to feel safe, understood and seen. That means making space for all your different identities (e.g. gender identity, racial and ethnic identity, spiritual identity) and the ways in which these influence your life.
