About My Clients

You’ve carried too much for too long. My clients are often survivors of trauma who’ve learned to stay quiet, strong, or small to survive. Many are BIPOC navigating generational wounds, cultural expectations, and systems not built for them. You might struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, dissociation, or feeling disconnected from your body or voice. You want more than just coping—you want to feel safe, seen, and whole. Most of my clients also seek me for EMDR.

My Background and Approach

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LISW, LCSW) with specialized training in trauma therapy, EMDR, and somatic practices. I’ve spent over a decade supporting survivors of complex trauma, interpersonal violence, and attachment wounds. As a BIPOC therapist, I offer a culturally responsive space where your lived experience is seen, honored, and never pathologized. My approach blends evidence-based modalities with a deep understanding of nervous system healing, power dynamics, and identity. Clients often come to me feeling anxious, stuck in people-pleasing, or disconnected from their bodies. Together, we work to create safety, process pain, and build a life rooted in self-trust and wholeness. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you come home to yourself. Healing is possible and together we can explore avenues to get there.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is both personal and political. As a BIPOC clinician, I’m committed to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care that acknowledges the impact of systemic injustice. I support Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive justice, and the right to safe, accessible mental health care for all. I work from a lens that affirms intersectionality, body autonomy, and neurodivergent experiences. Outside the therapy room, I use my voice to educate and advocate—whether through community partnerships, writing, or digital platforms that help dismantle stigma. My practice is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collective healing.
