About My Clients
I’m passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma. These folks typically struggle with intimacy, vulnerability, feeling safe again, being able to trust, etc. I also love working with the Spanish speaking population and talking about the impact of immigration. Finally, I greatly enjoy working with first responders and healthcare workers. These are two populations with very specific challenges regarding their profession and who typically feel unseen and misunderstood.
My Background and Approach
I love providing a safe space where hope and healing are possible. My approach is rooted in anti-oppression, trauma-informed care, strengths-based, unconditional positive regard, challenging shame and guilt, and where the client is the expert!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in creating a safe environment for all to feel like they belong. Diversity is everywhere and we have to use our privilege to center and honor historically marginalized communities. We need to implement thoughtful strategies to foster inclusion and belonging.
