About My Clients

Frustrated? Down? Simply want to be functioning as well as the next person? Anxious all the time? Daily living isn't easy. There's really no way around it. It's hard for you, it's hard for your kids (if you have them), it's hard for all of us. The great thing is we don't have to go through it alone. Life is so much better when we talk things through and get support. So many times we think we are the only ones feeling this way...sad, anxious, angry, hopeless...we aren't.

My Background and Approach

Everyone has been through something. If it matters to you, then it matters. Don't compare what you've been through to anyone else. You matter and your story matters. Is something holding you back from living your best life today and being the best version of yourself? Let's figure it out together. Therapy is a collaborative process. You have goals and I want to help you reach them. The therapy session is important, but implementing in daily life what is learned, discussed, and set in motion during the session is essential to seeing long term results/change from therapy. I believe therapy is a gift you give yourself. Therapy is self-care - it is exercise for your soul. I can't tell you how much my own therapy journey has changed my life for the better, continued to challenge me to be the best version of myself and kept me healthy and feeling whole. I invite you to give yourself the gift of therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We are all human. Sometimes we are thriving and sometimes we are just surviving. People of all ages struggle at different times with depression, anxiety, trauma, or just handling life's many transitions. It's okay to seek help and care. In fact, it shows strength and an eagerness to want to improve your life and make positive changes. So often people think that "hitting the gym" or starting to "eat clean" will be the change they need. Physical exercise and healthy eating are positive additions to one's lifestyle, but it is important to understand the benefits of mental and emotional health as well. Too often we neglect that part of ourselves until things seem to hit rock bottom. Take care of your mental and emotional health just like you would your physical health. Do you need a check in? There is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. I believe in meeting you, the client, where you are at and finding out what works well for you.
