About My Clients
I enjoy working with young adults, men, adolescents (14+), and families struggling to find their place in this world. Often my clients come to me struggling with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorders, substance use struggles, self-esteem, and life transitions. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment that feels welcoming and free from judgment, allowing us to collaborate effectively in equipping you with the necessary skills to lead a more authentic & fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
In my career of 10+ years in the industry, I have worked with people experiencing a wide variety of complex mental health concerns and have found a true passion for substance use and borderline personality disorder. I approach therapy from a relational model and primarily use techniques from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapy, self-compassion, and mentalization. I believe in building a collaborative therapeutic alliance to allow you to feel heard and valued in our work together. In our time together, you'll find I offer a direct approach while maintaining a warm, empathetic, and supportive space where we can explore your emotions, gain new insights, learn ways to effectively cope, and move toward a happier life. I'm excited to support you on this therapeutic journey and to witness your growth firsthand!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that beginning the therapy process is truly powerful and brave. I entered into this field due to early life exposure of both the impact of substance use and mental health challenges can have on both a person and their families and I am passionate about the work I am privileged to do with others. I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship with a provider is the most important part in healing and I value ensuring it is the proper fit.
