About My Clients
I work well with men who are tired of feeling reactive, stuck in cycles of anger, or unsure how to talk about what’s underneath it. I also specialize in helping anxious women who find themselves overextending, overthinking, or overwhelmed in their closest relationships. If you’re exhausted by self-sabotaging, people-pleasing, walking on eggshells, or second-guessing your needs - let’s slow it down and sort it out.
My Background and Approach
With a collaborative and authentic approach, I'll both challenge you and honor your pace. I’m not a fixer, but I will draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed care to help you help yourself. Research has shown that the best predictor of positive outcomes in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. With this at the center of our work, my hope is for you to feel safe, supported, and understood. Defining and advocating for your needs in relationships often begins with a conversation, so let's talk!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I use a multicultural lens in treatment; this means I attend to cultural and systemic factors, such as race, gender, class, size, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and contexts of power, oppression, privilege, and others. I have extensive experience with suicide prevention in school settings, and I have additional experience advocating for antiracist curriculum in MFT programs. I previously provided therapy for those navigating the transition out of prison and other system-impacted clients. This position challenged me to advocate for my clients across several systems, while recognizing the complex trauma these systems reinforce. I gained a greater awareness of the traces of family attachment across generations, and I learned how these traces reveal themselves in therapy. NOO made me a stronger advocate for antiracism, harm reduction, and social justice. My approach is Queer Allied, Trans Allied, LGBTQIA+ Affirming, Racial Justice Allied, Sex Positive, Kink- and Poly-Affirming.
