My Background and Approach
I am an eclectic therapist. That just means I use a variety of techniques and approaches for my clients. My foundation is in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based, and Brief Solution Focused therapies. I am an avid practitioner of positive psychology with a bit of realism thrown in.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Welcome! Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Murray State University in Murray, KY. I have been a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for the state of Texas since 2012 and for the state of Georgia since 2017. I am a native Texan that has lived in different states for educational and employment purposes. I enjoy learning from my clients as much as I enjoy providing them with vital mental health information. I practice what I preach, so I take time off to take care of my physical and emotional well-being. I enjoy reading, writing, engaging with friends online, and spending time with my biological and extended family. I believe everyone deserves to be heard and seen because each one of us is a voice in this world.
