About My Clients
You've done a lot of personal work and have been in therapy, but something still feels unnamed and unprocessed. We often miss something underlying the exhaustion, the anxiety, the disconnection, and the lack of joy and purpose. That missing element is grief. In our work together, we include an element of tending grief. We make space for pain and distress so it can be held, carried, and integrated, so you are able to go forward with a renewed sense of aliveness.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in grief and loss, support for life transitions of all kinds, and support for existential exploration and distress. I use an integrative approach, weaving mindfulness-based, body-based, transpersonal, and humanistic methods. In our work together, we slow down, attend to emotions and bodily experience, explore patterns with curiosity, and clarify what matters now. The goal isn't to eliminate pain but instead to help you move forward with greater ease and sense of purpose and meaning. For clients who are feeling particularly stuck and struggling with depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, or chronic suicidal ideation, I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). I'm also certified in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and offer therapy to support people who who are using psychedelics on their own, whether recreationally, ceremonially, or for wellness purposes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring decades of experience as a meditation practitioner and spiritual seeker to my work as a therapist. I have been actively tending my own grief since my first major loss at age 7. My therapeutic stance is non-pathologizing, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQ+/gender affirming and inclusive. I recognize, and support my clients to recognize, that many mental health diagnoses are not individual issues and are instead related to systems of oppression. I am committed to providing culturally responsive, collective trauma-informed care, as well as to continuous, daily reflection on my own identities and my own role in the perpetuation and eradication of systems of oppression. I have studied extensively to deal therapeutically with the impacts of racism, colonization, and white supremacy, and am committed to continuous interrogation of the Eurocentric tenets that underlie mental health care in the United States.
