About My Clients
Frist starting therapy can be scary especially when you are being asked to open up to someone who do not know yet. If you are experiencing sadness, anxiety, relationship struggles, or have a trauma history my approach always centers on creating safety in our sessions. It can feel unnerving and vulnerable to engage in therapy but together we will work to create a space where you can explore your needs, challenge faulty thinking, and create a healthie approach to struggles you came in with.
My Background and Approach
I am formally trained in Clinical Psychology with a counseling specialization. I am certified in Nurturing Family Programs, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work to utilize an integrated client-centered approach to find what intervention and style will work best for my clients. I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families to support them to meet their goals. I have extensive experience working with depressive symptoms, anxiety, and trauma. Overall, I truly just like to take my time to support you in a way that feels best for you. You are the expert and I am here to support you to see things clearer, make healthier choices that work for you, and to elevate your experiences and connection to the world around you and I do this while direct, real, and using humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the potential for growth. I believe that the worst thing we have done, experienced, felt, or has happened to us does not define us. I believe that sometimes what we need most is a safe place to explore our struggles so that they do not weigh as heavy on us so that we can begin to move forward and, when needed, heal.
